This is stunning, once in a lifetime experience. The offers a unique vantage point to see Cappadocia’s beautiful rock formations, cave dwellings, fairy chimneys, and more. We were picked up around 3.30 in the morning from Foremanson cave hotel.
Pick up frrom all the hotels took time and then we were on our way to a field about 5ish where baloons are getting ready. The basket itself is splitted to small cubicle which gives some seperation though its pretty crowded . On the way we were given a light breakfast . Prior to taking off, pilot gave us the do’s/dont’s and instructions on what to do during landing but honestly, he is sooo smooth, that the launching, ride and landing was so perfect we didn’t have to do anything else apart from enjoy the ride.
The balloon ride itself was for an hour or so. This was very beautiful hour of my life. It was another world up there , a wold of fairy tale . While I have probably exclaimed many times to thse awesome views, there was a quiet serenity up there that you will never experience while in the ground. We flew for quite sometime amongst fairy chimneys in goreme valley before going high above to have a birds eye view of the region including piegion valley , rose valley .
It’s one highlight after another as our eyes feast over the hot air balloons over the unique landscape of Cappadocia… and then as if it couldn’t get any better.. the sun rises, and another surge of heart fluttering moment engulfs you. Some moments you wish would last for eternity, but as fleeting as it was the imprint it leaves in your heart is still for eternity.
The landing itself was smooth , they aim the landing on a truck which was different from the one I experienced in Egypt. After celebrating our successful and safe flight we were provided a certificate and then dropped back in hotel in time for breakfast,
