Economically it has one of the highest per captia GDP ratio and considered the safeset country in the world Day 1 My flight was in the morning 6AM from Heathrow airport. Travelling in the morning from Heathrow was a bliss, hardly takes anytime for security in an otherwise extreamly busy airport. Iceland: Hiking an active volcano

🇮🇸 🇮🇸 🇮🇸 Iceland is known to be the land of ice and fire, and in the past few years it’s really shown the world what that really means. The country is situated on top of two tectonic plates, the North American and the Eurasian plate, and also right above a hotspot – a geological term for a volcanic area that has an unusually hot mantle underneath it. With over 32 active volcanic systems in the country, you’d expect there to be a volcanic eruption going on all the time. Hiking to…

Iceland: Laugavegur Trek and Fimmvörðuháls pass

🇮🇸 🇮🇸 🇮🇸 The Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls trek has been listed by National Geographic as one of the "World's Best Hikes" due to the unique and extremely diverse landscape encountered on the trail. One can see everything from sizzling hot springs and volcanoes to icy white glaciers. We walked through geothermally active lands of colored rhyolite mountains, obsidian fields, cross glacier rivers, and so much more on our journey. We stay in rustic, but charming highland huts located in remote areas. Each area is unique, revealing new features in the ever-changing landscapes of the trail. Day 1 Reykjavik  to Landmannalaugar  We departed early in the morning from…

Though most of flower cultivation happens few miles down near Dokanda village at lower reaches of Kansai river. A nice day-out . It was sad to see that some farmers were destroying their own corps .
