I had a tight iteanary and managed to spent very little time in these cities . But these are worth exploring for couple of days
Salento
Salento was my first stop before starting the trek in Los Nevados national park. It is nice little colourful town . I reached here after a long bus journey from Medellin . Reached at late evening and there was a fisco at the hotel , they given me a wrong key and I was pretty much locked out. Walked around the town center early morning before leaving . Really liked the vibe.
Pereira
Finshed my trek and was dropped at the hotel in Pereira which is at the center . Stayed one night before catching my flight to Santa Marta . It is a bigger town and there are coffie plantation around . Here I had to bye a new hiking book as the current one gave up. Catched flight to Santa Marta following morning . Enjoyed the street food and roamed around the center in the evening.
Santa Marta
Flew from Pereira for lost city trek . Santa Marta is a big city . Roamed around the beach and watched beautiful sunset . Enjoyed the the city center . I also stayed here after completing the trek . Spent a day to do scuba in nearby town Tanganga. After doing an amazing 2 tank dive , had an amazing sea-food lunch and then walked upto Playa Grande. Next morning I had my flight to Bogota .
