Casblanca is my last stop in Morocco. Unlike other parts of the Morocco I have visited where time has stopped , roads are shared comforatably by donkey side by side with modern cars, Casablanca is the modern 21st century face of Morocco. It is the economic lung of Morocco . ย The city’s French colonial legacy is seen in its downtown Mauresque architecture, a blend of Moorish style and European art deco.ย  I reached Casablanca in the evening . The hotel I stayed is close to western standards rather than traditional riad’s I stayed in other places. I spent the time exploring the city center then walk all the way Hassan II Mosque. This mosque is famous for itsย exquisite and intricate Islamic architecture, which is a blend of traditional Moroccan and modern styles. The mosque is one of the largest in the world and can accommodate up to 25,000 worshippers at a time.

Unlike other mosques in Morocco , here non muslims can enter the mosque (outside prayer times) bu purchasing a ticket. The ticket also gives access to the museum and the exhibition hall.
