Paragliding in Pokhara is an amazing activity . Unlike some other adventure sports its more serene almost felt like spiritual. The Paragliding take-off height is 1592 meters in Sarangkot hills and the ending point is 593 m in Lakeside. It is fairly safe .There was an accident om 2020 Nov in which pilot died and the passenger suffered critical injuries . Though the cause was not reported in the media but local pepole told me this was due to some dare devil stunt (plucking a flower from cliff wall for the lady passenger) pilot wanted to perform and which went wrong . Nevertheless the agencies operate there are responsible and all pilots hold qulificaion of international standard.
There are two version’s available , shorter one is of about 25 min flight time and longer one is abou 40 min. In addition pilots can perform some high adrenalin stunts for additional cost. Overall it’s a must do activity . The day I did it was perfect wetherwise and windwise.
