I effectively had one full day to do some sightseeing in Buenos Aries. It was too less to do any justice to this beautiful city. This city is often called Paris of South America. Stunning architecture , side walks and and cafes probably has some similarity but this place has its own rich culture . Unfortunately January is peak summer in BA and it was super hot and humid. My hotel was just opposite to the Obelix and I had a grand view from my window.

My flight from Ushuaia was in the afternoon , so I reached the airport in the evening. BA has two airportsย Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP) andย Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE) .ย Most long distance flights were based on EZE and AEP caters mostly domestic flights.ย  Tienda Leon does not have bus from AEP to city center , so I arrived by those blue buses which gets overcrowded easily. From bus stop my hotel was walking distance on July 9 avenue. This is the widestย  avenue in the world with 7 lanes in each direction. It is named after 9th July the independence day of Argentina.

Next day I visited a few places ,ย Teatro Colรณn which is very close to my hotel was my first destination. This is the main opera house in BA. This is considered one amongst the five best concert venues in the world.

Then I went toย Plaza San Martรญn , a park located in the Retiro neighborhood of Buenos Aires . I visitedย Santรญsimo Sacramento which is an imposing catholic church and then next block to the park is Torre Monumental. I walked all the way to Casa Rosada and Plaza de Mayo which was closed because of ongoing renovation work. I saw Metropolitan Cathedral which was very impressive . Then I walked back to 9 July Av across Pres Roque Saenz Av. It was just 2 PM but the temperature was super hot, I decided to take a mid day nap .

In the evening I walked all the way to Mayo Square and then to Puerto Madero. This is a rotating bridge at dock 3 named as Puente de La Mujer, or Womanโ€™s Bridge. I returned back to hotel in the evening for a good night sleep.

Next morning after breakfast I took a taxi to the Tienda Leon bus station at Madero. I finally boarded my BA flight to London early afternoon.
