Sisimiut : Driving a Snowmobile

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฑย ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฑย ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Snowmobiles have become the modern replacement of dog sled. This was roughly 4 hour excursion from the town. Snowmobiles are pretty easy to master because there is no gear ; its just brake and throttle. We first went to the top of Solbakken. This is a vantage point with a good view across the town. We also went toย Aappilattorsuaq . Overall this was pretty cool experience.

Ilulissat: Land of icebergs

This town is located approximately 350 KM north of arctic circle. This place is famous for Icefjord. It's a massiveย collection of icebergs that have calved from the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier one by one. This isย fastest moving glacier in the world (40 meters daily). Dog Sled and Northern Light : Kangerlussuaq to Sisimiut

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฑย ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฑย ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฑ It seemed a crazy idea when I first thought about it; multi-dayย dog sled in Greenland and camping in the middle of arctic desert. However logistics were arranged and we reached Kangerlussuaq on 27th March 2013. The plan was to embark on a three day dog sled expedition fromย Kangerlussuaq to Sisimuit.
