Austria: Day trip to Hallstatt

🇦🇹 🇦🇹 🇦🇹 It was a full day trip from Salzburg . We took an early morning bus no 150 to Bad Ischl and then train from Bad Ischl to Hallstatt railway station. Finally ferry across the lake to Hallstatt village. The village is very pretty , surrounded by mountains and worth of at least a night's stay. From ferry terminal its about 15 min walk to cable car to go up the mountains. Funicular ride was very scenic and enjoyable. It was roughly 700M walk to the entrance of the mine. 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 This was my first meetup. We met at Clapham Junction and then took a train to Chipstead village in Surrey via Croydon. We walked around 14 miles through lovely landscape of Surrey . The Lavender farm itself is in Banstead. It is a family run business named Mayfield Lavender. Weather was perfect and it was a very nice day out.

🇬🇮 🇬🇮 🇬🇮 Day 1 I started early from Ronda. It was 9.18 train to Algeciras from Ronda. Weather was not good , it was raining incessantly from morning. At Algeciras I had to wait for sometime to catch a local bus to La - Linea. 🇬🇱 🇬🇱 🇬🇱 Snowmobiles have become the modern replacement of dog sled. This was roughly 4 hour excursion from the town. Snowmobiles are pretty easy to master because there is no gear ; its just brake and throttle. We first went to the top of Solbakken. This is a vantage point with a good view across the town. We also went to Aappilattorsuaq . Overall this was pretty cool experience.
