Edinburgh

We reached Edinburgh in the morning . Our first destination wasย Calton Hill , one of Edinburgh's main hills, set right in the city centre. It is unmistakable with its Athenian acropolis poking above the skyline. There are two observatories . Dalby Forest and Whitby

This is located at Locton village which was the starting point of 5.6 Mile Bridestone walk.ย The walk started from Lockton and then dropped into Stain Dale on the edge of Dalby Forest before entering in Bride Stones Moor and then Dovedale. The route took a climb up to the High Bride Stones and then crossed the valley to visit the Low Bride Stones. The walk back to Lockton provided magnificent views in all directions. However logistics were arranged and we reached Kangerlussuaq on 27th March 2013. The plan was to embark on a three day dog sled expedition fromย Kangerlussuaq to Sisimuit.
